Acron Launcher 0.1.0 for macOS, Windows & Linux

Your First Project

1

Install the Acron Launcher

The launcher is a small desktop app that creates your projects and installs the engine into each one. Your system is listed first.

macOS macOS 11 or later, Apple silicon
Windows Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Linux 64-bit x86-64

Acron Launcher 0.1.0. On Windows the .exe installer needs no administrator rights; the .msi is for managed installs. Step by step: Installing Acron.

2

Sign in and activate your licence

Start the launcher and press Sign In. Your browser opens; sign in with this Acron account and the launcher keeps you signed in. Signing in also finds your account's licence and activates it on this machine — Settings › License shows its status, and Refresh picks up a licence you have just bought. If you were given a licence key instead, paste it there and press Activate.

No licence yet? Yearly licences and monthly subscriptions are on the pricing page.

3

Create your first project

Press New Project, give it a name and a location (by default Documents/Acron Projects) and keep the newest engine version. The launcher creates the folder, a Python 3.14 environment, and installs the engine and acronmanager into it. On the project's page, Run starts the game.

4

Learn by changing it

Edit src/main.py in Acron Studio or your own editor and run it again. The manual starts from there, and the sample programs show each part of the engine in a project you can run from the launcher.
